Floor Installation

Flawless, level installations of solid hardwood, engineered wood, and specialty patterns with clean edges that stand the test of time.

Precision Craftsmanship

A perfect fit, built from the subfloor up

A beautiful wood floor is only as good as the preparation underneath it. If the subfloor is uneven, damp, or structurally weak, your new hardwood will squeak, warp, or gap within months. That's why our installation crew evaluates every layer of the floor structure before laying a single plank.

We install both solid hardwood (best for long-term refinishing capacity) and engineered wood (ideal for high-moisture concrete slabs or basements) using professional nail-down, staple, or glue-down techniques. Every joint is staggered cleanly, and expansion gaps are carefully left and finished under elegant trim baseboards.

We work in close communication with you, advising on acclimatization times (wood resting in your home to adapt to moisture) so that your floor settles perfectly without warping.

Our Method

The installation steps

01. Prep & Leveling

Subfloor Preparation

We sand down high spots, fill low spots, secure loose plywood, and lay down high-grade moisture barriers to ensure a flat, quiet, and protected base.

02. Acclimation & Laying

Wood Acclimation & Layout

We let your selected timber rest in your home to align with interior humidity, then lay the boards with clean, staggered lines for structural strength.

03. Trim & Details

Baseboards & Transitions

We install elegant threshold transitions and baseboards over the expansion gaps, leaving the space spotless, tidy, and ready for use.

Installation FAQs

Service Questions

Solid hardwood is a single piece of wood, which can be refinished many times and lasts for generations, but it can expand or contract with humidity. Engineered wood is made of cross-ply wood backing with a real wood top layer. It is highly stable and works best in basements, concrete slabs, or over radiant heating.

Acclimation is the process of allowing wood flooring to sit inside the rooms where it will be installed for 3 to 7 days before laying. This allows the timber to adjust its moisture content to match your home's natural humidity, preventing shrinking, warping, or cupping after installation.

For a standard room (under 500 square feet), installation usually takes 1 to 2 days, including subfloor preparation and trim work. Larger multi-room projects or custom patterns (like herringbone or chevron layouts) may take 3 to 5 days. We provide a precise timeline in our estimate.
